the line "practice safe sex" killed the dog/human metaphor for me. in my opinion it should be something along the lines of "... be safe, and stay healthy for a long time." i might just be thinking of the new ASPCA* stuff, where pet birth control is assumed so the message goes the route of cancer prevention. to me that was quite powerful.
