This Ad is awesome! This App is very popular and has come up with many different TV ads recently… all of them are quite entertaining and humorous, and this one doesn’t disappoint. Liam Neeson gives this advertisement the certain type of serious humorous tone that works well with what it is trying to accomplish. One could say that he adds his “Taken” type of attitude but puts a spin on it. I enjoyed how the commercial took place in two polar opposite settings. One setting, of course, is the calm tiny coffee shop where Liam Neeson is getting an order of coffee with the barista classically pronouncing his name wrong. And the other is the wild battlefield filled with “barbarians and dragons”. You honestly can’t go wrong with a Liam Neeson epic moment. The length of this ad is just another thing that ties in to its perfection. Overall this ad is short, sweet, comical and to the point.

This was a great ad for the very popular Clash of Clans app. They start off their advertisement like most of their others replicating invading another village which shows lots of action. They add a twist at the end having Liam Neeson plotting revenge on the person who attacked his village-which is a feature in the game. They play off of Neeson’s popular Taken movies where he is known for seeking out revenge. He really is the perfect person to represent Clash of Clans for this reason and his popularity brings more attention to the app. It’s also pretty funny that this serious moment is interrupted by a barista mispronouncing his name-which everyone can relate to. This advertisement is also showing that anyone can play this app and they can play it anywhere (like waiting in line at a coffee shop). Overall this ad did a great job at integrating many popular and relatable features into one app while adding a bit of comedy.
Haha they picked the right person!
