This ad for Samsung has all the elements wrapped up perfectly for this Christmas season. “All wrapped up perfectly” is all about tissing the season to gift the new Galaxy Note 4. Samsung has elegant packaging that is recognizable and true to their brand. There is something satisfying about seeing it wrapped up as a gift. The commercial highlights the differentiating factor of this gadget. The emotions evoked in this media is Christmas. Warm imagery and pictures, excitement for loved ones and presents, good times sharing special moments… I like how that target in this video is the star of the whole show. It makes technology a part of who they are and a part of their values and lifestyle. I like that some major truths are elegantly displayed in this 30 second clip. The first shot shows that there is a man lying on his bed late at night with eyes fixated on the screen of an ultra-cool brand new Galaxy. I think tying this device of pictures, information, and communication to the very core of someone’s life to say if may be the very last thing they see before drifting off to bed is a reality. Another major truth that fundamentally speakers to the viewer is that our special moments can and are now a memory on our phone. Portraying major truths surrounded by the warm emotions of the holiday season are a perfect way to offer consumers the do it all, be it all Galaxy Note 4.
