I think the idea of this “New MacDonald” is very effective. This is particularly effective within families where young children are more apt to learning why eating organic has always been the better choice. I liked how the advertisement showed the negative side of old MacDonald because it accurately represents what the food industry developed into, which focused on producing processed foods that were no longer good for humans but good for a money making business instead. This depicted the bad side of what farming became but it also focused on taking the audience to the future and better side of going back to basics. In using the IMC approach, the advertiser must show a problem-solution based action that appeals in an emotional level as well as awareness for the consumers or targeted market. This ad does exactly that by making the effort of showing the back side of the food industry and suggesting a positive change.
