I think this is a great ad because it’s simple, straightforward and relatable. Many people know someone who is the victim of domestic violence and it’s always a tough situation to deal with. This real world example is made even more powerful by showing a video of the aftermath of a domestic abuse fight. It not only shows the physical damage that was done but the emotional damage as well. The house shown exemplifies an average ‘happy’ family home that has been destroyed. The violence clearly took place in more than one room destroying family portraits, walls, and even their bedroom. This also shows that there were likely kids who witnessed, or will at least have to deal with this horrible situation as well. All of this is used to connect with the viewer on an emotional level. As sad as it is, there is hope at the end that the victim was helped because of the late cooperation of the dispatcher. The company uses this story to shed more light on these situations, and show others how they can help. It provides comfort and the simple sentences at the end say it all.
