Watching this advertisement made me remember the discussion we had in lecture last week. Companies are trying to get “our” attention, trying to get us to do something, buy something, etc., this ad is doing exactly that. First of all I’m sure just about every Millennial knows what Netflix is. It’s not just that however, it’s the message that the ad is saying, it’s implying that if we subscribe and watch Netflix we will be enticed to do and try new things that we have never done before. That having this subscription will change us into a daring person. Which as the viewer of this ad and as a subscriber of Netflix I do see where they are coming from, Netflix does offer a wide variety of things to watch so of course there is a chance the watcher will go out and participate in something out of their norm.
Anyone could say this, and many have done so -- better. These suck.
Not bad I think. Although not special either.
An axe murderer of ads.
