Simple ideas are the BEST.

I haven´t seen these test screens for ages (10 years or more) on german television; meanwhile they show ads for cellphone ringtones and sex hotlines all night long

Pretty much, yes we can. Best of Show at Cannes went to a Larsen cartoon a few years ago, and how many 'viral' bits and pieces have been ripped off for ads? If you are not ripping off popular culture, you are probably not doing your job.
