I love how this ad can tell a story, send a clear message, and add humor all in 30 seconds. Many people can relate to the feeling of accomplishment after finishing a task and then wanting to try something else new that he/she didn’t have the confidence to try before. The ad sends a distinct message that Lowe’s provides great products that others will love and that the company is here to help anyone accomplish their own DIY projects at home. This falls in line with their whole campaign/ mission to help customers complete their own home projects which in itself is a great campaign. The humor aspect helps the viewer to relate (if they once tried a new ‘fashion trend’ that wasn’t for them) and to remember the ad. Immediately after the humorous aspect, Lowe’s ends by showing their website, logo and slogan paired with their catchy music to get the brand to stick in the viewer’s head.

I think this ad uses a good way to transmit the message. As looking at the ad, I can say that the main idea is that the company wants people to believe that they could find anything to personalize their life and be unique. It shows that people’s clothes and life styles could be similar or equal, but that they could find things in their stores to make their life unique. I consider that this way to share its message its creative and consumers could find them so related to them. I would not change anything in this ad because all their resources (including music, characters, and backgrounds) help to create an attractive commercial that will call the attention of their customers. I also believe that both scenes; the one in a house and the one in the street are scenes that; clearly, represent scenes of a common day in a person.
