I enjoyed watching this TV ad as it took me on a journey through the real lives of couples and attracted my attention from the outset. With regards to the main topics this week, it aimed at reinforcing my beliefs for IKEA as a brand. It shows that IKEA has been around for a very long time now, providing couples and families with the products that make their house a home. The ad appeals to viewers emotional side which again does a good job of attracting their attention and developing a strong recognition with the brand and it's consumers. It shows that IKEA values their consumers brand loyalty, giving couples the opportunity to tell their story on what will be a widely viewed advertising campaign. The ad manages to also add some humility into the story line, a scenario which most, if not all people that have shopped at IKEA can relate to, that you go in to the shop searching for one specific product, and walk out with a trolly full. It’s nice to see that they acknowledge that this happens and reinforce it in their ads for viewers to recognise and talk about.
