I like this ad because it was not what I was expecting when I first clicked on it. It was tough to tell who the ad was for at first, but it makes sense that it was for hefty cups since the ad was centered on a child’s birthday party. Red plastic cups have become ubiquitous with the party scene- no matter the age. This ad puts a fun twist on a birthday party that I believe would catch almost any viewer’s attention. After grabbing the viewers’ attention, the ad sends the message that their cups are now crack resistant with an animated representation of one of their cups being crushed and then ‘bouncing’ back to life. Even if parents did not appreciate the ‘wild’ party being shown, I’m sure they would appreciate cups that are crack resistant and therefore prevent more spills keeping houses cleaner. Overall Hefty got their message across and did it in a memorable way.

Oy, terrible culture to encourage waste and violence. Aggressive kids are NOT one of my option.
