THIS IS THE NAUTILUS, a public art installation from Lincoln and Atlantic Re:think, created by the renowned New York City-based design studio SOFTlab.
Inspired by the human-centered design of its namesake, the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus SUV, it puts control into the hands of the people who engage with it. Yes, you are the center of this artwork. To activate The Nautilus, grasp the center of one of its interactive poles. They are equipped with sensors that respond to the qualities of your unique touch. You, and those around you, will create your own symphony of light and sound.
