That iPhone app shown is fantastic. For the banner, the idea of location based advertising is great, but why the need for the camera?

I was thinking exactly the same thing. I kinda hate to put on my webcam for websites anyway - I always think someone is spying or recording or doing whatever creepy stuff. It doesn't really add anything either. But the augmented reality iPhone app looked really cool.

Yes, whenever the small camera light comes on I feel uncomfortable for no good reason.

So, if this app really exists, why does the icon title say "calculator" (where the finger clicks)? Any why do all screens seem like the video has been embedded into them?

Just sayin'...

Okay, let's just evaporate the idea with its own idiocy: who goes looking for random businesses? Who walks down a street and wonders "Hey, I wonder how many random businesses I can find on this street that have no interest for me and will never have me visit them?"

Whoever advised yellow pages this was a good idea should be ashamed. Yellow Pages, the paper version, is nigh on defunct. To tell them they can enter the digital age in this way is so far beyond ridiculous it should be illegal. I am NOT going to wave my iPhone in a random street and pick a business to investigate. If I want to find a business that I need to do business with I will find a map on my iPhone AND GO THERE DIRECTLY.

Not approved.
