An axe murderer of ads.

Too long, I lost all interest in what the dad was saying at about 3/4s of the video.
What kind of shocked me if the fact that the kid is wearing a cast and the beginning the dad just tosses him aside, and the kid falls to the ground. Whaaaat ?! How careless can you get ? Your kid's arm is broken, that's dangerous !

I really liked the "how to dad" idea, the long-take makes it interesting to watch and it's nice to see dads getting recognition for their time invested in their families. That being said: I hope I'm wrong {for the brand's sake} but to me, what the ad is really selling is a quick and "awesome" breakfast solution for your kids, because you are way too busy being a dad to prepare anything else, even the wife gets only a coffee cup. Yes, being a dad is a full time job, on top of your day job, but that should be an excuse to feed your kids any cereal as their only breakfast, because it's just as "awesome" as dad. I read somewhere that advertising is relying too much on flash and bang to make the piece memorable, but not the brand/product/service. A lot of people remember ads for the ad's sake, but have no idea what the piece was selling. =/

Video Rocked. Great capture of life. woken up by the horses head sets the tone. For those that object to the length being a dad is a slow grinding task. Holding a daughters hair back while she vomits takes a lot longer than 2:12's. I have not had one dad dislike this video that I've shared it with. Great coffee/wife line. There's a man whose getting some. great to be a dad. thanks for the love. Cherrios thanks for having oats & balls.
