I'd like to see some non-agency photos because it seems cool. This photo kinda makes it look like a model, but I recall reading somewhere else about this.
Here's a pedestrian shot of what it looked like

But whatever, it's still a totally awesome ad.
Check out the Prev image on that link too, weird stuff!
Awesome, thanks! I'd heard lots about this execution before and was looking for a "real" photograph.
Masters of photoshop or just a nice view of reality?
FER.
nationwide has humongous balls!
great work, especially to the media people on this one. the media buyer's name should be listed on the credits.

Awesome. This may be dumb, but is Coop's paint real? Is this a double brand ad?
i was kinda hoping it was for the paintbrand in stead of the insurance. Very good ad though!

People will remember the paint, but prob not the Nationwide brand (unless it's a double brand thing) That last panel is confusing, a mess frankly, Ad for paint, panasonic TV's or retirement? Sorry not familiar with brand/s.
Right now theres a very green lake in Texas or a shit load of green vinyl adhesive buried somewhere.
== Bring back fags, lard and the biff.
maybe the copy could've read, "Because life comes at you fast." just a thought anyway, otherwise I like it.
Life Comes At You Fast is the campaign slogan - not just tag copy.

suggesting adding because to the front of a tag? are you f'ing serious! are you even in advertising?
sh#t!
Buen photoshop y buena idea, pero tengan cuidado con los detalles, observen la parte inferior derecha.
I really don't get this. Can someone help me out?
It all looks very forced and only done to get an entry in outdoor/ambient.
so a giant can of paint spilled its contents on your car. big deal. eyecatching, but i think too trivial for insurance, especially with 'life' in the slogan.
Seems on this one the agency strayed too far from their previously more conceptual work with MC Hammer and K-Fed superbowl ads. The tag line made perfect sense on those. Here, the line's a bit of a disconnect...
But you COULD argue that the line could be interpreted as "shit happens when you least expect it."
this is a great piece of work. and a huge idea. still, this kind of has been done before.
That execution isn't even comparable except that it involves paint.
Oh come on this is fantastic, as it is it's easy to add or try and change it now but get the idea in the first place then comment!! fantastic work!!! says what it does on the tin!!! so to speak
hello?
mr martin? did i say that i think its the similar idea? dont think so.
i do think its great and didnt mean to its the same idea. but sometimes people get inspired by other people.
no actually its the same green tone and theres a car in it which makes it a copy.
I hope you know it's not advertising the paint, but Nationwideon the right.

SOMEONE CALL GHOSTBUSTER!!!!!
Weird how the actual "pedestrian" photo bears very little resemblance to the agency-submitted version (which is far cooler).
Looks more like an instalation than a billboard.
Take away the line and it's just spilt paint.
Impressive to look at, but that's about it.
Doin' it for the points
What happened to the parking space lines on the edge of the lot spill?
if you look at a real shot of it, you can see that the agency cheated a bit and retouched the crap out of it. the spill didn't really go out that far.

I SAW IT WHEN IT WAS BEING INSTALLED.
ACTUALLY THE PAINT GREW OVER A WEEK OF INSTALLING IT.
THIS SHOT IS FROM THE FIRST DAY
AND THE OTHER SHOT IS THE FINISHED PRODUCT.
THANK YOU OLD MAN! DON'T HAVE TO SHOUT!
HEH?
Are you Stephen Hawking?
If so: I dance better than you!
awesome, me too! i was at ccad when it was going up... crackhaus haha
NOW THAT'S THINKING OUTSIDE THE CAN!

This Advertisement is part of a series which TM Advertising has done. If you have a look im sure youtube will have them. Very good ads! One involves ceiling fans, something along the lines of 'dont let the summer heat get to you.. come into our shop and our handy staff will help u out etc etc' anyway the ad ends in the people getting home, happily and easily installing the fan then watching it ignite the whole roof as they turn it on for the first time' Cut to 'Life comes at you fast'.
Another one shows a man standing up to recieve an award. Masses of people are cheering, he's waving and looking happy with himself... the people are waiting with a microphone and an award. Next moment he trips, falls down a bunch of stairs and breaks his neck. 'Life Comes at you Fast'.
