3D Street Art

Published/Aired:
November 2011

Description

Today Reebok CrossFit, a revolutionary strength and conditioning programme, teamed up with artists 3D Joe and Max to break the Guinness World Record for the largest ever 3D street art. The painting measured an impressive 1,160.4m² and was unveiled at London’s West India Quays, Canary Wharf. Here the public were invited to take part in a Reebok CrossFit WOD (workout of the day) on the spectacular artwork.

It's a small idea. 3D art has been on the streets for a while now. And please let's stop these buzzwords like 'BIGGEST IN THE WORLD'. We had these when used for products, why do we still sell ourselves with this?

Quit Hatin. It's cooler than anything in your weaksauce book and they did break the Guinness record for worlds largest chalk artwork. So it's totally deserved to use buzzwords like 'BIGGEST IN THE WORLD'.

What do you mean it's a small idea? A lot of effort goes into this. And yes, it is the "biggest in the world". This piece, which was on display until Nov, 17, was nearly 350 ft long and measured 9,601 square feet. Imagine how impressive it must have been in person.

The client is tacked-on. This inherently has nothing to do with Reebok. The record itself should have a connection to the product.

"I love some things, and don't love some other things."

Show me at least one street art piece that "inherently had something to do" with the product or brand advertised. This is eye catching and that's all that matters. And if you read a little about it, you will realize that it is somewhat connected to the brand.
