i think two or more people living inside one person's mind is not schizophrenia. ad is good. but medical advertising has to be correct. facts should be checked before doing something like that. or you'll end up doin' something
that will reinforce the myth.

don't think this is a real one.
would be a nice idea if it wasn't based on a profoundly, common misunderstanding of schizophrenia. the phenomenon shown in this ambient thing is called dissociative identity disorder and has nothing to do with schizophrenia. for further explanations please check

dear responsibles of this ambient idea:
do your homework better next time.

No that's just a visual hallucination representation which could be found in many disorders, more likely schizophrenia (and by the looks of this image I'd say paranoid schizophrenia) than dissociative disorder. Dissociative disorder barely has frank hallucinations as such, it is more of a detachment to reality than a misrepresentation .

Oh I mixed up Dissociative identity disorder than Dissociative disorder. Oh well comment still applies.

"Despite its etymology, schizophrenia is not synonymous with dissociative identity disorder, also known as multiple personality disorder or "split personality"; in popular culture the two are often confused." (source: Wikipedia)

you mean if a schizo is aware of beeing schizo?
i know a schizo who knows he's schizo. i'd say most schizos know they're schizo.
anyway, when a real schizo sees this in a public restroom it would definitely freak him the fuck out. not sure if this is good or not. but i won't say anything negative about this ad again.

Many people are commenting that this ad does not in fact represent what schizophrenia actually is, however it does. As a pre-med student (aspiring to become a psychiatrist) and someone who has take a psychology and is in the middle of a sociology course I can in fact prove that this ad does represent schizophrenia correctly. I have also asked my psych. teacher to make sure that what I say is correct. Many people are saying that this is showing having "two people inside of yourself" which I have noticed some have pointed out is DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) which is correct, if anyone here has seen the movie "Split"(2017) that is DID taken to an extreme and unrealistic level and speaking as someone who knows someone with DID it is not the same as schizophrenia I promise. However this ad is a correct representation of schizophrenia; schizophrenia has symptoms such as: extreme paranoia, social isolation, agitation, aggression, compulsive behavior, thought disorder, delusion, amnesia, belief that an ordinary even has a special personal meaning, belief that thoughts aren't ones own, disorientation, memory loss, mental confusion, inappropriate emotional response, extreme anger and anxiety, HALLUCINATIONS, hearing voices, incoherent speech, as well as lack of emotional response ect. The all caps one being depicted in this ad. DO NOT DIAGNOSE YOURSELVES. I am simply stating the facts which if you look up schizophrenia on google WILL be found under "Symptoms". This ad shows a man (on the left) washing his hands and in the mirror, which is depicting what he is seeing, is another young man, however he is only in the mirror showing that he is indeed a hallucination that the man on the left is seeing. Thus proving as well as showing that this ad is depicting schizophrenia. If you don't trust my word I suggest watching the movie "A Beautiful Mind" (2001) which is a true story about the famous John Nash who had schizophrenia it's very good and recommended by many psychology teachers.
