Description
The Volkswagen Tera is designed to go further while consuming less fuel, delivering greater efficiency without compromising performance.
To communicate this benefit, the campaign translates fuel efficiency into a simple, human and highly relatable context: long-distance running. In this world, constant hydration is essential — runners typically rely on multiple water stops to keep going.
We subvert that expectation through a subtle but powerful visual: a marathon runner reaching for a noticeably smaller bottle at a hydration station. The gesture feels unusual, almost counterintuitive, and immediately draws attention.
This moment becomes a metaphor for efficiency. Just like the runner who needs less water to continue, the Tera requires less fuel to go the distance.
By turning a technical feature into a human behavior, the campaign makes efficiency tangible, intuitive and instantly understood.
