The Summer of AI

Agency: Anomaly

Anomaly historically has taken an intentional approach to its internship programs, each one uniquely designed to seek out, support, and develop the best, most diverse talent. This year’s program will follow in that tradition; the architecture around the marketing just took a provocative, tongue-in-cheek turn that perpetuates Anomaly’s open, irreverent and energizing culture.

“Anomaly has always seen creativity as a powerful force that far exceeds any traditional models or channels,” said Franke Rodriguez, Partner and CEO of Anomaly New York. “This particular creative expression of our internship application program carries the same goal as always: to land the most progressive, diverse, and curious interns who align with Anomaly’s change-agent mission. It’s equal parts dumb and ingenious.”

While AI familiarity will not serve as a requirement for this year’s Anomaly Interns, the agency is seeking curious minds looking to stay ahead of the curve in all things culture, AI included. Last summer, Anomaly welcomed Chris Neff as Global Head of Emerging Technology, deepening its investment in the space. Regarding this summer’s internship program, Neff said: “My primary goal is to help immerse both our teams and clients in the breadth of readily and rapidly evolving technologies at our disposal, ensuring emerging tech, like anything else, gets utilized by everyone at the agency, including interns.”

Anomaly has integrated AI (working with Buoy Studio) feedback into its intern application this year in order to attract the best, brightest talent. To apply by April 10th, candidates can head to The application starts on the Anomaly Intern landing page website, where the different intern roles are described. The site then guides applicants through to a very common Typeform application with 12-questions. Upon submitting, applicants will receive a message confirming receipt and sharing a token of appreciation from the Anomaly Talent team: an AI-generated, one-of-a-kind image based on their application responses through an experience crafted by Neff and the team at Buoy Studio.
