In the lead up to the theatrical release of 20th Century Studios The Devil Wears Prada 2 on May 1, Google Shopping announced a collaboration with the movie for a new campaign highlighting Google’s Try On in Search. The campaign kicked off yesterday, April 20, with The RUNWAY Closet, an interactive red-carpet experience during the film’s world premiere. Google also debuted new spots yesterday featuring the film’s stars, Simone Ashley and Stanley Tucci.
At the red-carpet experience, guests checked in at The RUNWAY Closet and were paired with office staff who ushered them into the experience. Inside, guests were able to choose clothes from a rotating wardrobe and preview the look using Google Try On rooms.
The creative showcases Simone Ashley and Stanley Tucci in their roles as Amari and Nigel in the RUNWAY closet, using Google’s Try On in Search to experiment with new styles to find Amari the perfect gown for an event.
