Adobe Acrobat

The Marketers

Agency: Ruckus

Description

Adobe has expanded its marketing ambitions with Adobe Acrobat’s first original episodic comedy series, *The Marketers*. Produced by Ruckus Films and directed by Tim Wilkime, the five-episode show evolves from last year’s Acrobat jingle parody into a full-scale, TV-style franchise. Starring Hasan Minhaj, Chance the Rapper and Iliza Shlesinger, the series follows two overconfident marketers chasing their next big hit, assembling a cast of exaggerated industry archetypes along the way.

Designed as a workplace comedy set inside a heightened version of the marketing world, the series leans into satire and self-awareness. Minhaj plays a hyperbolic version of himself, complete with a mock thought leadership framework, while supporting characters and cameos, including Mario Lopez and creators Colin & Samir, add to the show’s layered humor. Written with talent from Saturday Night Live, the narrative unfolds across episodic arcs filled with callbacks and recurring jokes, establishing what Adobe is positioning as an “Acrobat Cinematic Universe.”

Strategically, *The Marketers* reflects a shift toward entertainment-led, culture-first marketing. Released natively on YouTube, the series integrates Acrobat’s AI tools directly into the storyline, making the product part of the narrative rather than an interruption. Supported by weekly episode drops, social clips, memes and cast amplification, the campaign aims to drive organic engagement and top-of-funnel awareness. With its repeatable format and potential for live extensions, Adobe is building a scalable content franchise designed to grow across seasons and real-world activations.
