QSR marketing has traditionally focused on speed, price, and promotion. But for many consumers, especially during summer, QSR and convenience stores play a far more impactful role in everyday life.

QuikTrip’s new campaign, “Savor Summerhood,” created in partnership with its newly appointed creative and media agency of record, Laughlin Constable, positions the brand as a central character in the fleeting moments that make summer feel special as opposed to a transactional pit stop.

The campaign is rooted in a simple cultural truth: people wait all year for summer, and the pressure to make the most of it can feel surprisingly real. Four 30-second spots comprise the campaign: Lunch Break, Sandwich Break, Hose, and Skaters.

Each one shows and celebrates the often overlooked joy that comes with savoring summer through a calm break in daily routine.
Rather than glamorizing aspirational lifestyles, the work celebrates deeply recognizable moments of everyday summer life: lunch breaks in the sun, skating with friends, backyard hangs, and quick pauses between long workdays.
The platform positions QuikTrip as the brand helping remove friction from those moments. From self-serve drinks and made-to-order sandwiches to fast, friendly service, QuikTrip becomes the “special sauce” helping consumers savor summer while it lasts.

To further reinforce the warmth and nostalgia of the platform, the campaign was shot entirely on film, giving the work a textured, sun-soaked aesthetic that mirrors the imperfect, memory-driven feeling of summer itself. An additional :10s social spot called Skater builds on the campaign with nostalgic imagery of two friends skateboarding. Key campaign images evoke senses of community and youthful fun from chugging a slushy drink on a hot day, skateboarding outside, and escaping the stress of a summer job.

The national campaign is now live across Programmatic CTV, Live Sports CTV, socials, influencer partnerships, and OOH placements throughout QuikTrip’s regional footprint. At a time when many convenience brands continue to rely heavily on product-forward messaging, QuikTrip and Laughlin Constable sought to create a campaign centered less on transactions and more on feeling.

The work also signals an evolution for QuikTrip following Laughlin Constable’s AOR win in 2025, marking the first major storytelling platform developed through the partnership as the brand looks to continue expansive growth in the coming years in markets like Chicago, Houston and Denver.
