Taking place against some of the series’ most memorable backdrops, Holder and his subject Red Bull BMX rider Senad Grosic, create a stark contrast between the real world action of BMX and the fictional world of Game of Thrones’ Westeros.
Riding Thrones is a classic multi-platform/transmedia project. The conception and development of the project specifically catered to the idea of creating “entry points” for viewers to enter the unique take on Game of Thrones. A mini-doc, educational behind the scenes, a touring IRL photo/fine art gallery, brand partnership collaborations, a digital scavenger hunt, newsletter, and of course a charitable cause component created an intricate web of sharable content so big that viewers could get immersed for hours.
