When the COVID-19 quarantine caused a shortage of tampons, we saw an opportunity to promote a better option: reusable menstrual cups. Partnering with DTC period care startup Nixit, we designed a social campaign to give away 100 menstrual cups to those in need, providing 500 years of period care.
Nixit is an innovative new period product — unlike traditional cups, Nixit sits in the vaginal fornix, allowing for mess-free period sex. Our goal was to take the menstrual cup mainstream and show that reusable cups and discs are the future of period care.
We created a visually stunning and engaging campaign using exceptional stills and lively 2D-animation techniques.
The giveaway was a massive success, with all 100 free menstrual cups claimed within eight minutes of the campaign's launch. We're excited to see how Nixit can help menstruators across the country save a trip to the store and take the menstrual cup mainstream.
