Considering violence against women is still social issue we’re dealing with as a male-dominated society, UN Azerbaijan decided to address this situation. To emphasise gender-based violence among male segment of society, we launched “Stop Violence Against Women” campaign by involving Neftchi, the most successful football club with the biggest fan base. We changed the club’s uniform to an orange one (the color of violence against women) with our message on it. During the match, fans in the stadium hang support banners for the campaign. As part of our campaign, we also closely worked with public figures such as musicians, influencers, journalists, athletes, ambassadors of many countries, etc. As it gathered significant attention in the media, it also led discussion in the public sphere expectedly.
