The Maritime Port Institute (IMP) is the authority in Cape Verde
responsible for maritime safety, ensuring the navigability of vessels and alerting to sea conditions. It also guarantees the safety of the beaches and inspects the coastline, ensuring national maritime security.

Supported by the motto “by the sea, by the people”, in 2023 the IMP began a new phase in its communication in order to make its actions more evident and create greater proximity with citizens and all those who live from the sea.

World Oceans Day was, therefore, another opportunity for the brand to reinforce this principle, presenting a piece of great visual impact on its social networks. The idea is based on the image of a plastic bottle in two moments (outside and in the water) to alert that a simple necessity - like drinking water - can affect the environmental balance if it is done in an unsustainable way, as in a plastic bottle.
