Ode to Strangers is a collection of tales from real moms who faced dire circumstances and were helped by someone they didn't know. A stranger. Featuring generations of mothers from around the world, the series spotlights crisis situations Sub-Saharan women face today, from forced migration to medical deserts and infant death—a reminder that many stories are still being written and each of us has a role to play. It is our deepest wish that the nameless heroes whose compassionate actions once changed everything for someone else—the strangers we homage—inspire others to understand their own power to change, maybe not the world, but perhaps a single life story. Because, you don't need to be there to be there. You can be a stranger who cares.
