KykNET is a local TV channel broadcasting in Afrikaans. Launched by satellite operator DStv in October 1999, it’s since become a local hit through its mix of actuality and reality shows presented by average South Africans instead of presenters or celebs, thus the translation ‘Nothing’s put on’.
