Description
BBA presents a new campaign for Orgu that connects the natural instincts of bears with Ford’s adventurous spirit, bringing the global “Ready Set Ford” platform to Ecuador through a distinctive local creative interpretation.
Some things don’t need an explanation: instinct knows adventure when it sees it. That’s the idea behind “Instinct Never Lies,” Orgu’s new campaign for Ford, which takes the Ford Explorer into a world where nature and filmmaking meet in an unexpected way.
The campaign joins the global “Ready Set Ford” communication platform, adapting its creative universe for the Ecuadorian market through a story that combines adventure, visual humor, and cinematic execution. In the campaign, bears stop being mere inhabitants of the forest and become the crew behind a film production, taking on roles ranging from director to camera operators. At the center of it all is the Ford Explorer, the vehicle driving this unconventional adventure.
The Instinct Behind the Camera
The campaign imagines what would happen if nature’s own inhabitants were the ones choosing a vehicle to explore their surroundings. The answer unfolds through a series of images in which the bears seem to know exactly what they’re doing: setting up a film shoot, preparing the cameras, and directing the action alongside the Explorer.
One piece features a bear sitting in the director’s chair, watching the vehicle in the middle of a forest. Another moves the production to a mountain lookout at sunset, where several bears work around the Explorer. A third expands the scene into a film set deep in nature, reinforcing the connection between the vehicle, exploration, and the outdoors.
The contrast between a realistic cinematic production and the unexpected sight of bears taking on the crew’s roles brings humor to the campaign. Its lighting, landscapes, and visual treatment create a cinematic world, while the concept delivers a simple idea: when it comes to adventure, instinct knows the right choice.
From Print to Screen
“Instinct Never Lies” includes print and digital executions, as well as a hero video that brings the concept to life through motion. The print pieces work as scenes from the same production, with the Explorer as the protagonist and the bears providing the unexpected twist that gives the campaign its personality.
The hero video expands this universe, bringing the characters to life while maintaining the cinematic aesthetic and humor that run throughout the campaign. The idea translates across different formats while preserving a consistent visual identity and a strong creative concept.
A Local Perspective on a Global Platform
The campaign was developed by Carlos Rivas, responsible for creative, and Carlos Vera, responsible for art direction, from BBA, for Orgu, Ford’s representative in Ecuador.
Through a local interpretation of “Ready Set Ford,” the campaign creates its own expression of the brand’s adventurous spirit. Rather than simply showcasing the vehicle’s capabilities, it uses an unexpected visual story to turn adventure into entertainment.
Because in nature, some decisions don’t require much thought. And when it’s time to explore, instinct never lies.
