In collaboration with agency The Community, Hometeam crafted a mixed-media social campaign for Volkswagen in partnership with the USMNT. The inspiring spot tells the story of how US Soccer Captain, Christian Pulisic, shared his heartbreak and encouragement on social media in 2014 after the US World Cup loss, and now that he leads the team in 2022 he gives thanks to those fans that encourage and inspire him.
“We filmed this spot with one of our favorite Spanish filmmakers, Santi Capuz in Murcia, Spain,” shares Hometeam partner Lagan Sebert. “Working globally and remotely we partnered Los Angeles-based Director Sherif Higazy with Santi’s team on the ground to ensure we delivered a beautiful, inspiring, and creatively fresh spot for Volkswagen and the US Soccer Team on a compressed timeline and budget that didn’t afford international travel. This is precisely the type of project Hometeam was built for.”
