Being at home means something different today. For Gen Z and early millennials, home isn’t just a place — it’s where their pets are. Dogs and cats have become part of the family, turning sofas, blankets, and everyday spaces into shared moments of comfort. Staying in is no longer about missing out; it’s about being exactly where you want to be.
This IKEA idea celebrates that truth by putting real pets at the center of the story. People were invited to photograph their pets at home, naturally interacting with IKEA furniture. Using AI, selected photos were transformed into official IKEA visuals and displayed on billboards and digital posts across the city. Out of Home became an extension of the living room filled with real pets, real homes, and real reasons to stay in.
