Description
For GAIA’s latest awareness campaign, At The Table developed the shortest short film: Henry the Rooster. The length of this animated short film is inspired by the tragic fate of the 65,000 day-old male chicks that are cruelly killed every day in Belgium. Just after hatching, they are either crushed alive or gassed because they don’t lay eggs and are therefore deemed useless to the egg industry. Their life ends before it even truly begins.
In close collaboration with animation studio Volstok, the short film blends real-life footage with a 3D-animated main character: Henry the Rooster.
Like any regular short film, Henry the Rooster is available on selected streaming platforms, in cinemas, and online. The communication strategy follows a typical short film release, featuring movie posters, print ads, postcards, radio spots, sticker sheets, and even magazine interviews with the celebrity himself—Henry.
All these elements drive traffic to the campaign website, where visitors can take action to urge supermarkets to stop selling eggs produced through chick culling.
This professional campaign titled 'Henry the Rooster' was published in Belgium in April, 2025. It was created for the brand: GAIA, by ad agency: at-thetable. This 360°, Film, and Print media campaign is related to the Food, Health, and Movies industries and contains 2 media assets. It was submitted about 2 months ago.
