The Test Drive That Took the Ford Everest Exactly Where It Belongs

How well can you truly experience a vehicle built for exploration during a test drive that lasts only a few minutes around the city?

That question inspired **FordBNB**, an initiative by Ford Ecuador and BBA that reimagined the traditional test drive by turning it into an adventure that people could book through Airbnb.

The experience put the **Ford Everest**, Ford's capable 4x4 SUV, in the environment it was engineered for. Instead of traffic lights and city streets, participants drove through mountain roads, dirt trails, and some of Ecuador's most breathtaking natural landscapes, discovering firsthand its off-road capability, long-distance comfort, advanced technology, and versatility.

Each Ford Everest was equipped with genuine Ford adventure accessories—including rooftop tents, awnings, and outdoor gear—transforming the SUV into a fully equipped basecamp. Features that are usually explained in a brochure became experiences people could actually live.

But FordBNB wasn't only about showcasing the Everest's capabilities. It was inspired by a simple belief: **we only protect what we truly know.**

By bringing more people into some of Ecuador's most extraordinary natural environments, the initiative aimed to create a deeper emotional connection with these places, proving that responsible exploration can inspire a stronger commitment to protecting them.

Ford turned a platform built for booking stays into a platform for booking adventures, transforming the test drive into something far more meaningful: an experience that revealed the true potential of the Ford Everest while encouraging people to discover—and ultimately protect—the landscapes that make Ecuador unique.

Because some vehicles weren't built for the city.

They were built to take you where the best stories begin.
