Description

During Venezuela’s World Cup qualifiers, when the whole country was focused on football, Polar Pilsen gave Salomón Rondón, Venezuela’s all-time top scorer, an unexpected role. Instead of keeping him on the pitch, the film brings him into the bar, where fans actually live the game. The idea is built on a local play on words: a round of beers is a “ronda”, and a bigger one becomes a “Rondón”, which just happens to be the surname of our star player. From there, the story turns a simple misunderstanding into an escalating beer order that ends in El Rondón de Polar, a 23-beer bucket inspired by his jersey number. What starts as a local joke becomes an entertaining story anyone can follow.
