There's something unexpected creeping onto the Bojangles menu in Charlotte, North Carolina this week that’s sure to be a scream for spooky season. To celebrate the launch of the brand’s newest product, Bo Bites (hand-breaded chicken tender bites), Bojangles tapped agency partner luquire to develop and roll out a one-day-only Halloween experience that enchanted diners and drove widespread attention for the product launch.

Introducing: Boojangles, a scary fun pop-up dining experience that went far beyond just adding an extra “o” to the iconic restaurant’s name. On Friday, October 25, hundreds of lucky diners visited a spooky, IRL drive-thru and a wrapped store, experiencing an eerie ambiance, costumed characters, delicious food, and a social media-ready photo opp that was tailor made for Halloween.

The event was promoted locally through a mix of yard signs, digital signage, bag stuffers, customer newsletters and influencer partnerships, all of which helped to drive more than 500 boxes of Bo Bites to be sampled. Luquire captured the fun in this video, which will debut across Bojangles’ social media channels today and be leveraged across a paid campaign to help raise awareness for the newly arrived Bo Bites.

For those customers who missed the live experience, there’s still a chance to celebrate. All this week, Bojangles fans can take part in the launch with a special offer by downloading the Bojangles app and using promo code “RIPNuggets” to get 20% off any Bo Bites combo.
