Description
The 3.3 App serves as a revenue service utilized by 20 million Koreans. In the context of 3.3, individuals eligible for reimbursements predominantly consist of business income recipients, encompassing part-time workers and self-employed professionals, subject to a 3.3% withheld tax rate. The name “3.3” is derived from the 3.3% tax rate.
It is designed to address tax blind spots and simplify complex tax matters. Operating under the slogan "Find your right," the brand is dedicated to assisting individuals in securing their entitled rights, including tax refunds.
The company's CSR campaign was initiated to highlight marginalized occupational groups and enhance their working conditions, with caregivers being the primary beneficiaries. Although pivotal to Korean society, caregivers are often overlooked and called "shadow workers."
The 2023 Caregiver Health Survey disclosed that the average age of caregivers in Korea is 65. Many endure extended work hours (17 hours or more per day) with minimal rest (only 5.4% guaranteed rest time) and inadequate access to rest facilities (8.4%).
Consequently, 3.3 orchestrated this campaign to spotlight caregivers’ subpar working conditions and advocate for their rights, recognizing their indispensability to Korean society.
Caregivers are integral to the hospital environment, yet they often encounter challenges in finding suitable resting and dining spaces. Usually, caregivers use small plastic chairs or seek available seating within the hospital premises. Regrettably, there is a notable absence of designated dining areas, leading caregivers to perch on cots or occupy narrow spaces between rooms.
A 3.3 cm-thick folding chair has been developed in response to this issue, drawing inspiration from the narrow gaps within hospital rooms. This innovative chair can be conveniently stored within these confined spaces, ensuring minimal disruption to the movement of patients and medical staff. Furthermore, its high portability enables caregivers to create personalized resting spaces across the hospital. Notably, each chair is customized with the user's name, fostering a sense of individual ownership and privacy upon unfolding.
To support caregivers, the "<3.3cm of Happiness>" campaign aims to distribute gift boxes to 303 caregivers comprising essential supplies, including folding chairs.
