But in fact your example communicates "realitiness" not speed at any time, at any way, at any sense.
Coincidentally they came to the same VISUAL (not idea) so it's not an example of copycat at any way as well.

In belgian example crashing with the seagull is not forced by the unusual ship's speed. It's just an accident – coincidence which reminds us of reality thorns, making life not a movie or fairy tale. I'm sure You see this, so however visual side seems to be very similar, in reality it is not when studied closer.
