Good job man, it reminds me of the landscape paintings in the Renaissance Arts style.

This one is the best. But, I could also mention the misguidance here, as in the camera focusing on anything else that resembles to a face, rather than on the actual subjects. hahah

I find this campaign incredibly engaging! On LG's UK blog, you've got people scrambling to spot all faces! haha
In this particular ad, I can detect 9.. I would have transformed one of the flowers, in the front, into a face too! Maybe even the fountain water (it sort of looks like a face)

I think it's a brilliant concept! It's engaging and memorable. It's like a game or a puzzle that I would be willing to share with friends. This ad not only tells you about LG's new phone feat. some mysterious cool face detecting stuff, but it also entertains you.

update: I looked at the map (lower right hand corner) that is the actual phone.. and realized that there were a lot more "faces" than I thought! and yes one of the flowers in the front is indeed a "face". Clearly, this is the work of people thinking out of the box!

So... if there's something that remotely even LOOKS like a face is in my shot, it will focus on THAT?

Gee. Thanks.

On that basis, this ad is a fail.

No, it will not focus on anything that remotely looks like a face. In my opinion, the ad would have failed if they had just used, say, 8 or 9 ACTUAL faces and said "detects up to 16 faces".. It'd have been equally boring if they had turned the ad into a manual, talking about the technology and how it works, etc. Never take advertising too seriously! Let's use common sense here. Human face is a human face; it has a very distinctive shape. Flowers, twigs, fires or anything else for that matter can't possibly resemble a human face.. They are obviously used here for entertainment/engaging purposes.. They may even be viewed as a humorous nod to this new technology.

I believe what the agency tried to do was create a campaign that would engage the audience, pique its curiosity. Once your curiosity is whetted, wouldn't you want to learn more? This ad DID pique my curiosity about this face detecting stuff, and so I googled it! And while I was reading about it, I noticed that the Viewty phone offers a lot more cool features..

Another thing is that unconventional ads like this one are far more likely to be shared (viral marketing) or discussed than the traditional ones.

I saw 12 faces. Nice lightning but the perspective it's not that credible, good art direction though...I don't know if people will get the idea right the way because you really have to "appreciate" the piece in order to understand it
