This notion and the line are not new literarily, but to make them an ad campaign is smart thing.

A footnote, isn’t the art too romantic for a tragedy like this?

Still it is a good campaign and Cannes is not far probability IMO.

Not feeling it - There is something about the colour manipulation that makes the whole thing feel a little bit too Hollywood photo-filtered / fake... and there is no call to action. What was this ad supposed to make me do? (Besides feel guilty for having my own problems of course.)

uhm... maybe a little late this answer, but anyway... I think the colour filtering is intended to make you see that it's not real, something like a wishful thinking for the refugees... Just what you said, it's FAKE to believe that the refugees just have our same problems, that just having our problems would be a great relief for them...
