At first I thought he was coughing. Wy did he eat em so much? And why is he on the top of the left corner?

I believe he's in the top left because people read from top left to bottom right in Europe.

why did he eat so much?
Becuase drill sargeants yell a lot = lots of drops.

And why is he on the top of the left corner?
cmon dude, we read left to right. As you scan across the page and follow the path of used drops you get the message.

its a story. yelling drill sargeant + used drops + scared private = product benefit

So he started to eat em from the lower right corner. Still, it looks like coughing. In the other pictures it looks like coughing as well.

Do you even know what Strepsils are?

Strepsils are lozenges that contain mild antiseptics, which can kill bacteria associated with mouth and throat infections.

Why would a drill sergeant, someone who yells, need something that's meant for killing bacteria in the throat when one has a cold?

FAIL.

A clever idea, but it's not quite pulled off because of its ambiguous characters (save for these two) and willy-nilly lozenge path.

Good...but only for agency folks. I don't think the end-user of Strepsils matter one bit, does he? After all, he would go for Strepsils anyway, given it's heritage. So why not give him a headache and then roll out a new pain reliever? Honestly, you won't dare communicate like that if you're aiming to get into a new market, would you?
