in order to underline the HELPING hand, the younger hand should hold the fork fixating the meat-slice and the older one should cut. Not the other way around.

this is so irelevant.

and btw: slicing is the harder job so someone who needs help wouldn't need someone "fixating the meat-slice". unless he lost an arm.
