Don't dig this campaign at all. One final squeeze from the marketing machine before you're on your way... Jesus, are we going to start having grave site image issues like anorexics have body image issues? Haven't we done enough harm to people without imploring them to be BURIED in a beautiful place?! One final insult to injury, I guess. Get buried in your home town, like the good old days.

The art direction and design are beautiful, by the way.

Fine point about being buried in the home town, but exhorting people to be prepared isn't necessarily a bad thing; asking them to spend their last monies on a nice view for mourners... not that bad a thing either.

To be fair to the agency and its client, I doubt they're really expecting a tourism of corpses to take up the offer. I've never been to Bulgaria, and wouldn't want to add flight and accomodation worries to grieving relatives, but I think this campaign can stay safely simply filed under "nicely done reputation work" for both parties.

As to the morals of chasing the mortality dollar, it's hardly new. Otherwise we'd still be buried in sacks rather than a fine selection of hand-crafted hardwoods in a variety of finishes.

well, if you knew anything about advertising you'd knew this got an award SOLELY for the unusual-ness of advertised service.
nothing else here that even resembles creativity in this campaign.

no idea here. just move on.

All valid points. I guess I have reservations with the advertiser, not the creative. I mean, I can't really imagine selling this any other way, but, ya know...
