This pair edge the Chinese by being all illustration/CGI and fun at that. The Chinese is the ever uncomfortable Photoshop/CGI hybrid.

A baby on a busy road is funny in Brazil?

Hey Roger, I'm talking about the joke, about the funny message, not about a hypothetical real situation. Anyway, as I said to White, I believe that the ads is not showing a real baby or a real cow, but dolls that will scare you

Sorry g_s, but your joke argument doesn't wash.

The campaign IS symbolising actual car/driving situations... just in a whimsical (Brazilian?) way.

And as for your 'scary doll'? Please...

You might treat your audience like idiots... but I wouldn't push it here. :)

What's your problem R_K? This is an Open Website where beginners and veterans can give your opinions without someone, playing the sheriff, keep saying how each one should behave, offending public, readers and nationalities.

I really liked these two ads, that's my opinion there, simple as it. And also I respect those who didn't, but I need to help you once you've decided to make some rude comments about my comments.

You as a junior copywriter probably could not understand these ads. But I will guide you through my reasoning:

What do Insurance Brokers do?
Sell insurance.

What these two ads do?
Sell Insurance Brokerage.

In what way?
In my opinion in a very smart may, making the readers imagine a situation from these layouts, and whatever you think, the brokers will take care of everything.

Why is that?
Because shit happens, and there are small and big shits, but doesn't matter the size of the shit, the brokers will take care.

Because of these reasons, these ads convinced me to buy insurance from these guys, even living away from them ;)

And finally, watch the way you write. With just few words you can offend many people.

Goodbye. No more talking with you.

Oh settle down. I (still) have a creative issue with the use of the 'baby' in this 'shit happens' strategy. And I questioned your rationale.

I like these ads. I do, but there's a couple things that threw me off. At first glance, I thought the cow was being sprung out of the way, not in the way. I thought this because of both the look of shock on his face and by the spring pushing him up from the bottom. The VW ads execute this better by springing the subjects towards the viewer. I think that maybe guto_soares is correct in saying that they're suppose to look like scare dolls. The line on the cows neck indicates this. But if they're suppose to represent scare dolls, then there should be a contrast in style between the bg and the scare dolls. The style of the fake cow is identical to that of the bird who is clearly having a visceral reaction to the incident. It could go either way for me. The message isn't lost either way though. Good ads. Great artwork too!
