Here's a headline: 'the fastest traction possible'. One simple line and the ads are understandable. Was it really so difficult to put that in?

That headline was just an example. What I meant is that the creatives could have made the ad much clearer by putting in a headline about acceleration. It's a pity that they didn't do that cause I think the idea is really cool. But dude, if you're here to give mindless comments on people who just want to give constructive criticism, you're not the only one. Maybe you should try to say something original ;-)

fair enough. but i think, as do a lot of other posters, that it is clear. you want constructive criticism, then why spell it out with that line and close the loop, or complete the logic if you will, for the consumer? you're supposed to let the consumer do that. adschool 101. how's that for constructive criticism?

but to be honest, nobody on here owes you or me or the creators of the work on here 'constructive criticism.' this isn't portfolio school. this stuff isn't posted for feedback. feedback is pointless – this stuff already ran. this work is up here as a tool and to foster discussion.

and there's nothing original left to be said. hootenpoopenanny. guess i was wrong.

try looking up : metaphor.

and then think about this ad as a metaphor.

a metaphor for acceleration.

the rate at which that bird is going to take off is a metaphor for the car's acceleration.

and if this doesn't help, and you still don't get it, give up.

>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.

scarfinati's picture

For the copy i wouldve just given half a FACT, a stat.

0-60 in (visual here)

Let the visual finish the story, let the audience close the loop.

Great ad. But couldve been really great.

Guys I know this concept quenches your thirst as specialists. But at the end of the day the ad should SELL to the average audience. So a tiny line that gives guiding hint wouldn’t have been a sin. You see that even some of “us” were misled!

Something with clue like what 'scarfinati' said would align the concept to sell well.

I like it very much.

I like the ad too, but the only thing I'd like to point out is that birds like this pigeon (instead of owls or, obviously, mammals) have monocular vision which lets them see two narrow sectors: the one right in front of them and the other right behind 'em). Hence the bird is aware of the presence of the horn, but who among the target audience actually cares? :D
