If no one has any guns, how do they protect themselves from people with guns? When seconds count, the police are only minutes away. if kids were educated about the safe handling and use of firearms, rather than kept ignorant so that they don't know what they're doing when they do come into contact with one, wouldn't they be safer? Education is about preparing for the future correct? Why not prepare them for a scenario we hope they are never in? Don't we do earthquake drills that teach students to protect themselves? i don't see the difference. I consider it disaster preparedness.
