HotWheels is copying PlayStation's communication approach. The difference between the two brands, however, is that one is used by children and the other one by adolescents and young adults.

ps: I am beginning to think that these are fake ads, along with the others we recently saw.

Hmmm, and what makes you think that? You could be right, after all it's a stockphoto, just add effect and logo and your ad is ready. If so, it's a shame. Is there some sort of 'reality-check'? Ivan?

Those who are familiar with PlayStation ads would know what I mean. PS ads are usually (I should probably say always) irrelevant, bizarre, nonsensical, etc. So these recent hotwheels campaigns are beginning to look a lot like PS's campaigns.

At least this agency told us that the photo comes from Stockimages:-) This idea is about speed, and if the ad is a fake it's a shame but if not is not bad at all.

Same stockimage used for a different idea. Almost all hotwheels ads play on some kind of the similarity between toy cars and real cars - here we have speed exaggeration, there we have an object from the real environment transfered to the world of toy cars (namely: road signs).

true. I should have done some more checking before doing. it is misfortune to find someone as already used the same image for the same brand, fake or not.

You can find this photo (stockphoto) on other ad's and brands.(this is what happens using bank images) But this is a stronger idea and execution than the Miami Ad School for Hotwheels.
