so which came first, the bbdo ny or the bbdo brazil idea?

BBDO Brazil, of course.
Almap have the Havaianas Account for more than 10 years.
Almap have concepted this art-layout for Havaianas since ever.
So, BBDO NY work for Havaianas is just an "adaptation" of AlmapBBDO's work.

Does it matter - the NY stuff was way better! Feet want out, mate.

i was asking about the out of home/print stuff. it's the same idea. the tv from ny is dope shit.

Does the picture want to tell me anything? It's beautiful as I see, but personally, I don't want to wear wooden planks on my feet. (I neither want to wear flip-flops, anyway. So maybe I'm not the target audience.)

the line is horrible. i'd like to think it worked better in portuguese. but i doubt it.

The line is awesome. But ok, you don't like award winning campaigns.

This is Cannes Gold and fought for the GP.

the dreaming foot commercial was incredible. this isn't. the line couldn't get much flatter if they tried.

Yeah, you are right, Spanky. Renato Simões typed only one headline in his G5 and said: Man, that is it. I'm fucking incredible. Next..

it doesn't really matter how many lines he wrote. this one's still flat. or the english translation is anyway. but feel free to continue pouting and stamping your feet. it's cute.

I'm not liking this at all, it looks great, but as a concept, it really does't work for me.

Looks like you'd have to yomp a massive board of wood around instead of a sandal.

I think the copy is unneccesary.

Havaianas is a visual product and the art are awesome, but looks like the art complete the copy, and this ad is about the contrary.
