here is my comment: for the blue tone of the visual, it gave me the feeling of safty and calmness.. i dont know if its really matching with the context of the msg in the ad... preventing crimes or burglaries for that matter... for the analogy, is the building that fragile to be compared to a boiled egg?? maybe... no pun intended... generally art is fine..

Oh boy... Once upon a time, in a land far far away, some dudes made this ad that was really awful and had an egg and a smashed spoon in a blue atmosphere and it kinda sucked and it went to this cool website with a lot of ads and I had the chance to say something about it. But I had nothing to say, only that I died a little inside when I saw that ad. And if you punks ever show me a portfolio with ads like that on it I would kick you out of the agency.

gotta admit i´m agreeing with Dick probably for the first time. Don´t know about kicking people but something definitively shriveled inside me when in contact with this ad.

Maybe, just maybe, this would work as ad for a safe (still not great though...).

Seems like someone had this picture in his head and forced an "idea" on it. And those ads are always the worst.

I find it interesting that most of the time, people on here rip apart ads for being too literal. That said, here's an ad that takes a bland product, and puts an interesting spin on it. No connection to the product? Your average house is very easy to break into. All you have to do is smash a window. What else in this world is very easy to break into? that's right - an egg. All you need to do is crack it with a spoon. So, they've shown that, like this egg, your house is no longer easy to break open. This works perfectly. The line could certainly be better, but as an idea, I like it.

yeahh... well.... I think the reasoning behind this is right... though still there´s something hmmm... I don´t know if it´s the tone, the color, something... that I don´t feel good about. Probably my comment is too vague but somehow I just don´t like this ad, though I don´t think it´s bad.

Don't really warm to this ad. 'Visual surprise' style ads work best in a natural context. The blue tones and overworked treatment kill that natural feel and therefore the humour and surprise.

On another note, earlier Dick Huges posted a comment that he 'died a little inside' when he saw this. For goodness sake, do what any person in the street would do - look, yawn, move on. If we expect ads to be life affirming in some way we seriously need to get a life. How do you think overworked and contrived ads like this come about?
