I have a Deja vu from a so called an Art Director, maybe you can shed some light?

"Let me guess: full bleed 4 color photography of some guy stooping down to pick up a little kid --- and put him over his shoulder like a trophy -- that alone would wake everybody up and make them feel good about this campaign. Right?!

(Pity I wouldn't be there to see it, if that's the case, because that is exactly the kind of ad that would put me to sleep. ) "

Oh, but...

I never said I was an AD.
I just said I knew some guys
who knew some guys
who claimed to be a ADs--
at least until they
learned no one cared;
that, in fact,
this public claim
had kept them from
picking up chicks
for longer than
they could recall.

(If it hadn't been that,
it would have been
something else.
On that,
you may rely.)

That's it.

your profile on AOTW. nothing to it. I just copied what ever you typed...

Simply I don't like people who pretend to be something that they are not.

Shame .

Makes us kinda even. I dislike snoops and self-appointed scolds.

For the record, I am on the creative side of the industry, and that's conceding more than you have any right to expect.

My life is not a matter of open record to anyone on the net. Anyone. Deal with it.

That's it.

Billoughsby I am sorry.

I was preoccupied by today's nonsense of the Amundsen Vodka: Hitlerabbit "ad". And I guess, I was spoiling for a fight.

I never wished to hurt your feelings. I very much enjoy your comments, and the banter we exchange.

I have never been known as a diplomat, nor Heaven Forbid, politically correct. I would have made a lousy politician 'cause
I'd be too busy telling people to F-off for being lying bastard politicians.

I am a person whose mouth and heart say the same thing.

I see myself as a person of integrity and thus look for it in others.

Be well,
R.E.L.

I feel foolish. Sorry, also.

(And yes, I am an art director. There, I've said it. I just hate admitting it publicly after the recent buzz to the effect that an art director is several cuts below a "real designer" -- this even though many of us spend our working lives designing. I am a bit sensitized right now to the entire question. I was trying to deflect it with flippant humor, not lie. I hope I didn't offend.)

That's it.

Of course you didn't offend me, what is another scratch between friends....

Come and play again :-)
