Description

Meet the Borgia's, a powerful, immoral and scandalous family, symbol of the decadence of the Church in the 15th century, immortalised through the latest series produced by CANAL+. To promote the series, BETC brings out 4 prints where the flamboyant photographer David Lachapelle has succeeded in revealing the duality of the members of the BORGIA family: behind their angelic appearance, we discover that their innocent and beatified faces barely conceal the greatest vices.

...and while I don't want to be a douche about it, I have to say that the ambiance of this series is the very essence of "Photoshoppy", i.e. over-manipulated, and you cannot look at it and forget that for a second. Not on board here with the high praise for the visuals.

That's it.

It's not so much the "photoshoppiness" of it that bothers me. It's that it seen well crafted until you hit that nasty black box with the sub-head in it. That feels slapped on at the last minute and ruins a visual that, even if technically not perfect, is still appealing.

Excellent point. -- No craft spared, and then all craft spared on that one small part of it. Odd.
