I'm pretty sure this is connected to the previous "pro-cork" ad.

Miguel is probably a cork grower or something.

THE cork industry has decided the best way to fight for business as more winemakers turn to screw-tops is to baffle the public with a teaser ad campaign featuring sheep and cows spray-painted with the words "Save Miguel".

The ads, which were rolled out yesterday, give no hint of what is being promoted.

The campaign was devised by ad agency Whybin TBWA on behalf of the Portuguese cork industry, which produces more than 50 per cent of the world's cork.

Miguel, it has emerged, is a cork forest in Portugal and the fact it needs saving shows the pressure the industry is facing from screw-tops. As part of the campaign to promote cork recycling and the environmentally friendly nature of cork production, social networking websites have also been seeded with Save Miguel messages.

Facebook, Flickr and YouTube have had pages created featuring people displaying Save Miguel messages.

The Australian Girl Guides have been recruited as another element. National executive officer Karen Ballantyne would not comment on the campaign, but said the guides had been raising funds through cork recycling for 18 years. She said the guides raised more than $100,000 a year through the recycling drive and that they were not being paid for their part in the campaign.

Thanks for the explanation but this can only be understood in the smoking ad though the typography S%**$(. The cow ad... Miguel (the cow) seems to be having a running stomach, I don't know any vets.
